What loves means to me

As some of my frequent readers know, I'm looking to find Love. What does love mean to me? It means finding the person that I know god has absolutly put on this Earth for me. A woman that doesn't care about my weight or the fact I can't have kids, A person that will stick with me through the good times and not so good times, want to share special experiences with, make me happy without even trying, and just generally want to spend the rest of their life with me. Im waiting, I hope it doesn't take too long for this person to show up!

Let the Past Stay in the Past

Even though my past has radically affected me, I am finally not letting it get me down. There's nothing I can do about the hell I went through in school, so I'm not gonna worry anymore about it. Hopefully, those idiots have grown up and act like adults, even though I have no desire to see any of them again. It will always be a part of me, but it will not be the whole me, if that makes sense. There are enough friends in my life now that it makes it a lot easier to go forward. Thank you all!

Spring

I am soooo Glad that Spring is finally here! It's nice to see the flowers starting to bloom, the weather to get warm, and a sense of renewal. It's supposed to get up into the 60's tomorrow, so I think I'll break out the shorts!

Seeking My Purpose In Life

God, What is your plan for me? What am I doing here on Earth? I pray about this all the time, but I havn't got an answer. I guess we'll find out in due time!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Well, It looks like I'm going to have to make a dentists appointment soon! That stupid crown is once again coming loose on my front tooth, and since there's not much of the original tooth left, they Dentist is probably going to have to make a bridge. Oh how fun!

A quick Prayer Request

For all of you Christians and others who pray, I have a big request for you. Please pray for my friend Kat. She is going to be going in for surgery on a MAJOR hernia in a few weeks. She had the same surgery a couple years ago, and she almost died. Even though I've only known her for about 6 months or so, she's been such a good friend, I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to her.

My Opinion on the Terri Schiavo Case

In my opinion, the Terri Schiavo case has gone farther then it should have. I don't blame her parents for keeping hope alive that by some miracle, that Terri would recover. However, all the medical tests show that the parts of her brain that control thinking and reasoning have turned to mush (excuse the way I say that) . As for the politicians, they have NO business sticking their noses in this. This is a private matter, and should remain so. Think what you may about her husband, he is her guardian, and what he says goes. If something ever happens to me that leaves me in that state, I want NO measures taken to prolong my life.

I Found A Neat Baby Pic Of Myself Today

Looking through our photo albums today, I found a neat baby pic of myself! It's me dressed up in a golf hat, a pair of shades, a long blonde wig, and long johns. I just about laughed my ass off looking at it! I'll have to scan it onto the comp and post it here sometime.

Things I Miss From My Childhood

Looking back, here's some things I miss from my childhood

Getting up on Satruday Mornings and watching cartoons that were actually worth watching

Going to the Library in Fairfax every couple weeks and reading through all the editons Of Jane's Fighting Ships, and checking out some books so many times that they wore out

Going to the Coin Auction with Dad every Thursday night.

Going camping with the Boy Scouts.

Staying up all night listening to the radio during the summer.

Skipping school every once in a while and coming up here to West VA. with Mom.

Going every Friday night to Waxie Maxie's and buying actual records.

Hiding out in our basement when I needed privacy.

Hanging out at Woolco, where my Mom worked, and playing with the Atari until I got my own.

Going out to eat at the Cheasapeake Bay Seafood house.

Hanging out with my Sister's ex BF David

Messing around with the girls at school

And a lot of other things!

Finally, The End

Yesterday, Scott Peterson was officially sentenced to death for the murder of his Wife and unborn Son. The dude showed aboulutely NO expression on his face during the trial, verdict, or sentencing. I know if I was innocent, I would've been screaming at the top of my lungs. He must be some evil person!

Anyone is invited to joinm no matter what your race, gender, nationality or religion (or lack thereof, as we have a few satanist and athiest among our numbers) If you're interested, click on the link where I typed Council Of regulars.

The new Battlestar Galactica

I've been watching the new Battlestar Galactica on Sci Fi Channel, and I love it! It took me a while to accept Starbuck as a women, but she's tougher then Dirk Benedict's charcter in the original series, though cigars are sooo unlady like. Edward James Olmos' Portrayal of Commander Adama is more militaristic then the late Lorne Greene's version, but both are great leaders. Jamie Bamber's portrayal of Captain Apollo is just about even with Richard Hatch, though I'd give the original a slight edge. The new Portayal of Colonel Tigh could be improved. He is a major jerk, and drunk all the time. Boomer could also use some improvement, even though she's a cylon. The new version of Baltar is great. I love James Callis' mad scientist version a lot more then the power hungry traitor played by the late John Colicos. As for the Cylons's I'd rather surrender to Number Six then the original "walking toasters." The new special effects are great. I love the new renderings of the Galactica, the Viper, and the Cylon ships, though they retain some familiarity from the original. This is a great show, and I hope it lasts!

An Update On My Mom

Today, Mom had yet another appointment at her dr's in Hagerstown, MD., about her hand. She has to have more surgery on it. This time, the Doc wants to fuse some bones in her wrist. She doesn't know if she's going to go through it yet, since she's had enough operations on that hand the past 5 years to last a lifetime. I'll fill you all in when anything happens!

Why would God choose to make someone single?

I hear a lotta people say "well, it's part of God's plan for my life that I be single." Why would God Curse someone to a life of lonliness and misery? Don't get me wrong, I don't argue with God, but I think that If God had something for you to do, I think him making your happy would get the job done faster.

My Church

I have been attending Old Fields Baptist Church for almost 8 years. It's a nice little church a few miles from where I live. A friend of my Mom's and I asked us to go one Sunday in 1997. I was hesitant about going at first, since, well, After every thing I had been through, God and Me weren't on speaking terms. So the first time I went, I was quite nervous, not being comfortable around people. Anyway, After a few times, I got comfortable there, and have been going there ever since. The people who go there are some of the nicest people I've ever met, and they've really helped me in my walk with God.

A Pleasnt Surprise

Today, I had a nice treat! My friend Kat called me on the phone. She's probably my best friend in the whole world. I've known her almost a year now. She's one of the nicest people I've ever had the privilage of meeting! She's funny, witty, smart, and just downright nice. I love talking to her and her Husband Keith on the phone, we have some really fun conversations, you never know what's gonna come up. Thank you Lord for putting her in my life!

The Math teacher

In 10th and 12th Grade, at Falls Church High School, I had an Algebra teacher by the name of Bruce Campbell. He was a good teacher (even though Algebra still is Greek to me:P), but he was sorely lacking in the people skills. He treated most of us like dogs, even Yours Truly, if you didn't learn something right the first time. Mr. Campbell was an older guy, he told us how he guarded the subways of New York during WW2, so maybe I guess he was just being a grouchy old man. Anyway, he did have his moments. He gave me a Math book as a prize for having perfect attendance in 10th Grade, and the day I had my Finals before Graduation, he told me how good of a student I was.

A Beautiful Day!

Today was a really pretty day! It got up into the 50's, and all the snow is about gone. Spring is right around the corner, and I'll be soooo glad when it gets here!

Thank God for the Iggy Button!

Lord, thank you for the Iggy Button, that wonderful device that keeps my screen clear of those "poor" Africans, Indian/Pakistani preachers, and all the other undesirables that would harm my chat experience!

Clarification about the 1933 $20 Gold Piece

To the person who left a comment:

The 1933 $20 Gold Piece is illegal to own because in 1933, the US went off the gold standard, the production of gold coins were discontinued, and any coins not delivered to the Treasury by a certain date were illegal to own, and the $20's had not been delivered by that date.

ACCEPTANCE

Why is it that a lot of people can't accept fat people like myself? I don't care what they think of me, I'm just wondering? I guess you can blame the fashion magazines. Seems like people think that if you're not so thin that you can read a newspaper through them, you're nothing but a piece of shit. It's a shame..I've known a lotta fat people who are a lot nicer then some skinny people I've met!
