Cold

Wow! For the past few days, it has been COLD and rainy here! It's really nasty. All the darkness and dampness can really make your bored. But...as I'm writing this, the Sun is trying to come out, so maybe we'll get some light and warmth soon!

A Challenge

After having another fight with my Mom today about my weight, we came up with a deal. If I can lose 20 pounds by the end of the year, she would for over the $75 a month to get DSL installed here. I'm gonna work hard on it, because I'd love to be able to have DSL, so that I could broadcast live on COR radio. I love a challenge!

World Series Preview

Saturday, the World Series begins, with the Houston Astros facing the Chicago White Sox. This should be a pretty good series. Can the Houston pitching, lead by Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, Roy Oswalt, and Brad Lidge slow down Paul Konerko, Scott Podsednik, Aaron Rowand, Carl Everett, A.J. Pierzynski, and Co? Can the White Sox pitching, lead by Mark Buerhle, Jon Garland and Jose Contreras slow down Lance Berkman, Craig Biggio, Jeff Bagwell, and the rest of the Astros lineup? I think this Series will go 7, with whoever has the best pitching being the one left standing!

More Home Remodeling

The past few days, we've been putting in a new floor in our kitchen. Previously, the floor was done in white linoleum, but Mom wanted to put a darker color down, because she hated having to sweep 3 or 4 times a day. We also got a new kitchen stove, since our old one was going bad. Well, that will have been every room in the house. Keep it up, we'll have a whole new one! :P

So Much For My Presidency

Yesterday, I had to resign as President of the COR . I did so because a member had called for a recall, because he didn't think the bizarre election results were in the best interest of the group. I didn't want this stuff to distract from the Group's works, do I decided to step down. I'm gonna sit back for a while and enjoy life as a private member, since I've been an elected official in one form or another since the beginning. But believe me, Next year, I will run for pres again.

Rain

For the past 2 days, it has been raining. That's a very good thing! We havn't had any rain here for the past couple of months, and it was beginning to look like the place was gonna dry up and blow away! The trees and grass are already looking a lot better. I usually don't like rain, but I'll make an exception for this.

Anticipation

Well, it's been a bizarre week in the COR The Presidential election started last Wednesday. The candidates were Myself and Damian Stryker. On Monday, Damian announced that he had to drop out of the race. That should have made me President by default, since there were no other candidates, but our Appellate Bench took it under advisement. This moring, they made their ruling. I'm President!

Another Close One!

Yesterday, my Washington Redskins escaped with a 20-17 overtime win over the Seattle Seahawks. I just about lost my dinner when Mark Brunell threw an interception in Redskins' territory with 1 minute remaining, but Seahawks' kicker Josh Brown missed a 47 yard field goal attempt with no time left in regulation. However, Brunell redeemed himself by leading the Skins' downfield on the first possesion of OT, leading to Nick Novak's 39 yard game winning FG. Washington is 3-0, with all 3 victories being by a total of 6 points. Now on to Denver for next Sunday's meeting with the Broncos!

Shyness

I might have posted about this before, but since it would take me all night to look back on my archives to look, let me tell you I'm shy. It makes me feel soooooo uncomfortable being around people, even at church. Most people think I'm anti social, but I'm not! Let me ask you this: if you had been picked on, called names, and generally humiliated every day for 12 years, wouldn't you want to keep your distance from people? Shyness has cost me a lot: Friends, love and lots of other things. I'm working on it, but I'm afraid the damage may be irreversable. I try to talk to people and be nice, but I just freeze up.
