Some Of My Fan Fiction-How The Originals Should Have Ended

                                         KLAUS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the White Oak stake pierced his heart, the last thoughts that went through Klaus’ mind were that in giving his life to save Hope, he, Klaus Mikaelson, the fierce Original Hybrid, the creature who brought fear into even the most evil men with just the mention of his name finally did something good in his thousand years of existence.  And he could die without any fear or complaints knowing that.

As he returned to consciounsness, Klaus kept his eyes closed, not knowing what to expect.  Would he feel the heat of the fiery flames of damnation, or would there be nothingness? Would the Devil himself be there to greet him, or perhaps the scores of enemies he had sent to their deaths be waiting to consume him?  Whatever his fate, he was a Mikaelson, he would take whatever Fate dished out to him.

HIs thoughts were interrupted by a voice he had only heard in his mind the past 15 years.  “I’ve been waiting for you Klaus. You told me when I died that I was going to a place that even you would go to one day, and here we are.”  “Camille?” he smiled. “Yes, in the flesh , or make that spirit,” Cami laughed. “Camille, I have missed you so much, “ Klaus weeped, taking her hand. “I am so sorry that you were dragged in all the supernatural madness in New Orleans.  If I’d have made you leave town like I wanted, you would be living the life that you wanted.”

“Don’t kick yourself Klaus”, Cami comforted him.  “I made my choices, and sometimes they bring consequences that we don’t like. The only regret I have is that I was afraid that when I told you that I loved you, you would discount it because of me being delirious. That’s not even close. I was in my right mind when I said that. I love you Klaus, and leaving you was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.  With you here now, we can both go on to total peace.”

“And I love you too, Camille. There hasn’t been a day that has gone by that I haven’t thought of you.  And now with you by my side, and knowing that Hope will be taken care of, I have found Peace.”

As Klaus pulls Cami close to him and kisses her, he knows that that is the truth.

                                   Elijah

——————————————————————————————————

“Niklaus has been redeemed and knows  that he is loved, my job is complete” were Elijah’s last thoughts before he felt his body begin to disintegrate from the white oak. He didn’t care if he was headed towards Peace, Hell, or Oblivion,  no creature should live forever, and he was ready for whatever was ahead.

Awakening, he heard the voice he had longed to hear for months. “Why am I not surprised that you and Klaus decided to make like Thelma and Louise and go out in a blaze of glory, no pun intended,” Hayley laughed.  Running to her and pulling Hayley into his arms, Elijah knew that if there was a God, he had truly been kind to him. “I am so sorry Hayley, you know that I had no memories of who you were and how much I loved you.  Please forgive me, because I don’t think I could ever forgive myself. As for being here, I swore that I would never allow Niklaus to face the unknown alone, even death. Hope will never be alone.Rebekah, Kol, Freya, and Marcel promised me that they would always be near her. I feel like a very heavy weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I have missed you so much. If this is Paradise, it’s far beyond whatever I’ve imagined it to be.”

“You’re forgiven,” Hayley smiles.  “I knew someday that we’d meet again.  Now about that dance…..”
