Election Post Mortem

Now that the election is over, President Obama has been re-elected, The Democrats control the Senate, and the Republicans control the House, as before.  Both parties need to check their egos at the door, come together as Americans, and do their jobs, not just for the benefit of their respective parties, but for THE WHOLE COUNTRY!   Compromise is not a dirty word, people!  both sides have good ideas, it is not good to disregard them.  The American voters elected you to get something done,  not 4 more years of gridlock.  There are things that need to get done ASAP, such as fixing the economy and immigration reform.

To the Republican party:

If you want to make inroads with Women,     black, and Latino voters, you need to lay off the insults and vitriol!

I’ll be glad…..

When tomorrow comes and the election is over. I am tired of all the ads, mudslinging, and all the other stuff!

Doing it For Me

I have been going about my weight loss for the wrong reasons. I have been doing it to please others, to get them off my backs.  But no longer. From now on, I’m gonna do it because I want to, not to please everyone else!  I’m tired of having no energy, not being able to walk long distances, and I am tired of wearing jeans and sweatshirts, I want to be able to wear good clothes!  Like a friend of mine said…If you do something  to please others, you will fail.

Denied

I wish I would have been able to do all the things that school kids do:

 

Have friends to hang with

Go places with them

Be able to go to the Prom and all those other school functions

Not have to drown my sorrows in school work

Actually want to get up each morning to go to school, and not have the thought of going make you ill.

Have a girlfriend

Not have to be forced to go out in public, I became so shy

Not worry if today was the day your ass would be kicked and you were hurt severely

Have people, especially your parents take you seriously

And there are probably more

Is it worth it?

After nearly losing Nicie because of an argument we had over politics last week, I’m starting to think that it’s better to pick your fights then to lose your best friend in the whole world over something that in the long run is not worth losing a friend over. Everyone has a right to their opinions, and we can discuss our differences without going for each other’s throats…at least in theory
