Am I The Only One….

Who thinks that the end of year holidays are too close together?  They start having Thanksgiving stuff in stores before Halloween, and Christmas stuff in before Thanksgiving.  As soon as you get done with Thanksgiving, you have to start planning for Christmas.  But in normal years, which this is not, it’s fun, so there’s no use to complain!

It’s Thanksgiving….

The biggest thing I’m thankful for is that this horrible year is almost over!

OK For The Last Time….

Having to wear a mask is not Tyranny, and urging people to cut back on holiday plans involving guests is not violating religious freedom!  The more you wear a mask in public, and keep your crowds at home to a minimum, the less chances are that you’ll get COVID or spread it!

 I went into Wal-Mart today, and they were selling-Records-actual vinyl records!  In these days of downloads and cds, it was kind of cool.

To ward off boredom during the stay at home order, and having a reason to go to your room to get away from fighting parents!

What You Can Do To Help

Here are some things you can do to help out while people are being told to stay at home as much as possible:

If you have an older parent/neighbor or friend or family member who is vulnerable to infections, pick up groceries, prescriptions or other things they may need.

A friendly call or video chat with them also will cheer them up if they’re alone.

If you’re health, give blood.

Walk pets for those who can’t get out.

If you have kids whose schools are closed, there are endless possibilities for making games that can also help them learn.

There are other things you can probably think of!

Most of all, keep a positive attitude, this won’t last forever!

Restore all environmental regulations
Fair and secure elections

Fix health care
Restore our standing with the rest of the world
Urge others in government to leave their religious beliefs at the door and use the Constitution and the laws of the land as their guide

The Washington Nationals are World Series Champions after an incredible run:

19-31 after 50 games

Down 3-1 in the Wild Card game and facing one of the game’s top relievers

Down 3-1 in game 5 of the Division  Series and hitting back to back homers off of a probable Hall Of Famer

Winning the first 2 games of the World Series in Houston, losing all 3 games in DC, winning game 6 in Houston, then coming back from a 2-0 deficit in the late inning in game 7 to win the Series.

This was a total team effort, one for the ages!

Take an oath to defend the Constitution, not an oath of loyalty to party or president.  The Republicans seem to have forgotten that.

This year’s World Series between the Washington Nationals and the Houston Astros has the potential to be one of the best.  With Gerrit Cole and Justin Verlander pitching for the Astros, and Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg hurling the ball for the Nats, runs will be at a premium.  My prediction:  whoever wins will take it in 7 games, with the winner being the one who makes the most of their chances.
