I can't stay out in the Sun more than 10 minutes or so till I break out in hives.  It's not as bad as it used to be, but it is quite aggravating. When I was a kid, It looked totally horrible, and  I almost got sent to the Dr. a few times. No sun screen of any SPF seems t. help, it's like putting butter on something you're baking.

After this week’s attack on Republican lawmakers, it is time to lay off the rhetoric.  We can disagree without resorting to violence.  Yes, people may have differences of opinion about what the country needs, just because you don’t agree with one person’s idea doesn’t make them evil!  There is no doubt that people of both parties love the US,  all ideas should be respectfully listened to and considered.  If this anger doesn’t simmer down, the results may be more violent and bloody that anyone could imagine.

    “Damn. Marcel, is this rain ever gonna end?”  Thierry asked Marcel.  “If it doesn’t stop soon, New Orleans will be wiped off the face of the map.”  “I know T. I’ve been here for almost 200 years. There have been a lot of hurricanes  hit here in my time, but this one takes the cake.  This is our city, so we are going to do whatever we can to help the people out. You and Diego go down to the basement and gather up all our extra food,  blankets, and whatever else you can find, we’ll open up the compound and let anyone who needs shelter come in. Make sure you check and see that the blood supply is hidden away, the last thing these people need is to find out that there are vampire in their midst.”  As Diego and Thierry go to carry out their assignment, Marcel hears the phone ring. On the other end is Father Keiran, the only human in New Orleans who knows of the existence of vampires.

  “Kieran, how are things holding out at St. Annes?  If it get’s too bad there, get everyone up here to the compound.”   “We’re holding on pretty good,” Kieran replies.  “The church is starting to get full.  We’ve got a bunch of school kids down here, can you all take them?”    “Yeah sure,  we’ll be down there in a few.”

    Arriving at St. Anne’s,  Marcel is escorted to a back room, where 10 children, frightened out of their wits, crying for their parents are waiting.  In the back of the room, he spies a little dark haired girl, not more then 8 or 9, sobbing her eyes out.  “Hi there, I’m Marcel, what’s your name?”  “Davina, Davina Claire,” The girl replies.  “Well, Davina, I’m going to take you and  your friends here to my place, and when the storm is over, I’ll help you find your parents and get home.”   She smiles “Promise?”  “Yes I promise. I won’t let anything happen to you.”

He has said he wants to jail his opponents, sue the free press for criticizing him, keep out people of an entire religion, and people of certain nationalities.  And the man has a very short temper.  I am afraid that he will start a nuclear war over someone making a wisecrack about him over Twitter.  If I were a black person,a gay person,  a Latino, a Muslim or looked like I was from a foreign nation, I would seriously consider leaving and moving to another country. Trump’s rabid followers will be making life miserable for those groups.  I am proud to have voted for Hillary.  The ones who voted for Trump, you may have blood on your hands!

Are we going to have to  hear about  more cases of senseless gun violence?  First yesterday’s cold blooded murder of Christina Grimmie, then the horror of today’s Orlando night club massacre.  Like I’ve said plenty of times, there needs to be some sort of common sense gun control.  Listen, I’m all for the Second Amendment, even though I myself am totally scared of guns.  But there are people that have no business owning a gun.  Surely something can be done that can pass muster with all sides.
