It’s nice reconnecting with old friends! I just finished talking to Melissia, an old friend of mine from Yahoo chat days! I hadn’t talked to her or seen her online for maybe 4 years, I had thought maybe she had quit the online life, but she had been using Myspace, which I hadn’t been on in a while. Time to catch up!

Dad went to the doctor today for his second group of hormone blocking shots. They seem to be working, his prostate is shrinking, and the shots they gave him today are different they wont make him hurt like the first ones did. He doesn’t go back for 2 months, and they might start radiation then.
A few weeks ago, my Dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Luckily, all the tests show it hasn’t spread. He has to go through hormone therapy, then later, radiation. Hopefully, all will be well!

Do you think parents are overprotective these days? It seems like kids can’t have a childhood these days. You probably could blame it on the news, as it seems like every day, you hear/see things about kids being kidnapped, molested, murdered, and otherwise abused. Concern is one thing, paranoia is another! Parents, while it is true that these things happen, it doesn’t meant that it will automatically happen to your child. Let them get out and play, just keep an eye on them, and teach them how to deal with strangers!

Looks like every day this spring training you’ve seen a pitcher go down for an extended period of time or the whole season due to injury:
The Braves Have lost %40 of their starting rotation, As both Kris Medlan and Brandon Beachy will miss the whole season due to each having to undergo Tommy John surgery on their elbows for the second time in their careers.
Patrick Corbin of the Diamondbacks, a 2013 All Star, will also miss the season due to Tommy John Surgery., As will the A’s Jarrod Parker.
The Red’s Aroldis Chapman, he of the 105 MPH Fastball, will miss a month after needing surgery after getting hit in the face with a line drive.
Perhaps this is a hint that the human elbow is not built to throw at a high velocity.

Spring Training begins soon, and we’ll see how my Baltimore Orioles will do. Competing in the AL East, probably MLB’s toughest division isn’t easy when you have 18 games a season each with the Yankees, Red Sox, Rays, And Blue Jays, teams with some of the game’s best players ( Jeter, Ortiz, Longoria, Bautista among them) . But the O’s aren’t bad either. Can Chris Davis have another monster season? Can Tommy Hunter succeed as the closer? Who will be the last starter after Chris Tillman, Miguel Gonzalez, Wei-Yin Chen, and Bud Norris? Will they be able to resign Matt Weiters and JJ Hardy before they hit free agency next year? And several other questions…
This episode in a Utah elementary school, where several students had their lunches taken away from them and thrown away because their accounts were low or at negative balance could have been handled better on both sides. First off, perhaps the lunch line could be rearranged, with the students having their cards checked to see if they had enough funds on them. We know that it’s policy that the food had to be thrown away, as unseemly as it looks. And on the kids/parents side, did they really need to go on TV?

A few years ago, I started writing a mystery story. It was supposed to be a murder mystery based on my experiences in school. The main character was supposed to be on the run after being set up for the murder of one of his tormentors. Well, after a few years of gathering dust, I think I’ll work on it again, and let you all know if I made any progress.
My Mom finally had her surgery last week! Everything went well, and she’s at home and doing good. Sore but good!
I threw away all my old school yearbooks, and I feel great! I have not had a single nightmare or flashback about what happened to me since!
We had a nasty day here today! Maybe 5 inches or so of snow, and sleet. Because of that, Mom had to postpone her surgery once again.

My Mom in your thoughts and prayers. She has to have some extensive surgery. 3 Aneuyrisms in her neck and chest have to be removed, and she has some blocked vessels. Shows that smoking is bad for you!

However you feel about the verdict in the George Zimmernan trial, the one thing you must remember is that the American system of Justice played itself out as it was designed too. Mr. Zimmerman was given a trial by a jury of his peers, and the Prosecution failed to prove their case. For those of you who are not satisfied with the verdict, please keep calm, and show your disappointment in peaceful ways, don’t start riots or any other means of violence. There were no winners in this case. There is a 17 year old boy who has lost his life, leaving behind grieving parents, and Mr. Zimmerman’s life will never be the same again.

I love the summer, especially the evening when I can sit out on my porch, look around, and enjoy Nature!
makes me realize just how truly much I hated school. Not because of the subject matter, but because of the people. I was picked on non stop because of my weight from beginning to end. I had no friends, no one, not even teachers, stood up and tried to help me, which I consider just to be just as bad. I was alone and on my own, not being able to do what school kids do. I wasn’t able to go to school dances, never had a girlfriend, never got to go to the prom, or have friends to hang with. A guy asked me In maybe 9th grade “Why are you so smart? is all you do stay at home and read?” well yeah, when no one wants anything to do with you, what else is there to do? My parents had to drag me kicking and screaming to graduation because 1: I didn’t wanna dress up since fat people don’t do good in a suit and 2: Why would I want to be around those scumbags any longer then needed? It was a stupid piece of paper for goodness’ sake! Thank God it’s over, I don’t think I could handle much more of it!
Yes as some of you frequent readers of this blog may have deduced, I am in love with my best friend. I have been in love with Nicie since I don’t know how long. She’s helped me through so much, I don’t know if I could ever repay her. Now if she would just get it through her head that my feelings are real…..

Watching and reading about those 2 poor girls who were raped, had the crime recorded by their attackers, and then treated as though they had brought it upon themselves just made me sick! We as a society have totally forgotten that if you see someone in trouble, you should help them out. I consider those people to be worse then the ones who actually committed the crime.
2 of my cats that have recently given birth to kittens are conducting kidnapping operations against each other. I sat outside yesterday and watched each of them start carrying off the other’s kitties. Weirdest thing I’ve ever seen…hopefully they’ll take care of them!
My favorite coin shop was a little one located in Annandale, Virginia. My Dad and I would go to their Thursday night auctions, and most of the people there thought he was the collector. However, when they heard a 9 year old talking about coins like a seasoned professional, they soon learned who the boss was!
Both my Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals have high expectations heading into this season. The O’s had their first winning season since 1997, and the Nats had the best record in Baseball. With all the injuries the Yankees have, the AL East is wide open, and the Orioles have the talent to win it, though the Toronto Blue Jays, having become the Miami Marlins North with that team’s salary dump and the Jays’ Acquistion of NL Cy Young Awarde Winner R.A. Dickey could also make things interesting. And the Nats have the NL’s best pitching, with Stephen Strasburg and Gio Gonzalez, though the Braves and Phillies are always competitive. We shall see starting next week…..

I'm not writing this to anger my fellow Christians. I writing this so that we might ask ourselves the following questions.
How would Jesus would fit in modern day America?
Would he be welcomed or would he meet the same demise he met when he first appeared?
How would he be welcomed in your church?
How would his criticism of your church be received, by your church leaders?
Would he tell America it needs to spend more on bombs, weapons of mass destruction, etc. and less on the poor and disenfranchised?
What would he think upon seeing Christian leaders living opulent lifestyles while the masses suffer?
How would the established Christian community act when folks stopped listening to them and started listening to him, at his mass rallies?
How would the established Christian community respond when folks started giving their money to Jesus rather than them?
If Jesus were with us today where would he be living? Would he be living with the masses or living in opulence with rich religious leaders?
Would Jesus have a concealed carry permit?
Would he pass a background check?
If he drew a crowd on a busy street would he be cited for not having permit for a rally?
How would the fast food industry react if Jesus bought two big Mac's and five orders of french fries and fed thousands with some left over? Would they lobby their Christian conservative friends in Congress to stop that?
How would the Wine industry react if Jesus started turning water into wine? Would they lobby their Christian conservative friends in Congress to stop that?
How would the healthcare insurance companies react if Jesus started healing the sick for free? Would they lobby their Christian conservative friends in Congress to stop that?

Would you date someone you’ve met over the Internet? There are some crazy people out there who prey on the desperate, so caution is the watchword. For me, I’d be careful before I started a relationship with someone online. I’d make sure they were who they said they were, and make sure that their intentions are honorable.
Look at nature and not believe there is a God? Stuff just didn’t spring up for nothiing! Not trying to force my faith on anyone, just saying…

Don’t you think we know that we have a problem? Unlike what most people think, most of us don’t lay around all day eating. Personally, I watch what I eat, and I try to get as much exercise as possible, but it’s a slow process. I’ve been trying to lose weight for 30 years, and I’m not even close to where I want to be. It’s cost me a lot: friends, love, and and an exciting life, so I’ve been using those things as motivation. And being picked on an called names does not help at all. So before you start bashing us, have some compassion!
