GRRRR Part 1
This weekend, I have been very frustrated. The phone lines around here are worthless. They have a hole in them somewhere, and when they get damp, like from the snow melting this weekend, they get all staticky, and you can't hear anything on the phone, or get online. We call the phone company and they come out and fix it (or so they say) but it still comes back. I wish I could lose weight fast enough so we could get DSL!

Christmas Shopping
Today I went to Maryland to do my Christmas shopping. I bought some books for my parents, and I'm gonna take some of their old tapes and make CDs of them. I'm not much of a shopper anymore, I dunno how women do it!

The Stupidest Stupid Crook
Today, While watching the news, I saw a story about the stupidest crook I've ever seen! This lady in Georgia hired a hitman to kill a family and steal what she thought was a block of Cocaine to sell to finance her modelling career. 2 problems though: The "hitman" was an udnercover cop, and the stuff wasn't a block of Cocaine at all, but a block of Cheddar Cheese! Dang!

My View On The Courts
After reading and watching all the hoopla about the openings on the Supreme Court, I have one thing to say:
The Law is not a Republican, Democratic, Christian, or Athiest thing! It applies to all people. Judges on all levels should leave their Political and Religious views at the Door when working. The Constitution of the US should be their guide, not the Bible, even though I'm a Christian.

Hunting Season
Here in West Va., today was the first day of Deer season. It sounded like a war zone outside! Non-stop shooting, trucks going up and down the road, and just all around racket. My poor dogs are scared stiff, they don't like loud noises. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the 2nd amendment. Guys, you need silencers!

This Is So Whack!
It's not even Thanksgiving yet, and already, they're playing Christmas music in the stores around here! That is totally crazy! It seems that We're starting to forget the signifigance of these holidays, and businsesses are exploting this.

A Really Sucky Day

Can't This Guy Just Shut Up?
Well Boys and Girls, Pat Robertson has spouted off again! The man who advocated the assasination of the President of Venezuela had now declared that God will no longer protect a town in Pennsylvania because members of the School Board who advocated the teaching of Intellegent Design in school were defeated for reelection. Robertson, Jerry Fallwell, and their cronies give Chrisianity a bad name, and I hearby declare that even though I'm a Christian, I don't think like they do!
My Christmas Wish List
I know that it's a bit early for Christmas shopping, but here's some things I'd like to get:
The New Battlestar Galactica Season 1 on DVD
Clothes
This year's Proof Set from the US Mint
An Ipod Shuffle
Any Ship or Aircraft model kit
Minutes for my Cell Phone
Books
And that old standby, Money! :P

Total Discomfort
Yesterday, I had my 6 month appointment with my dentist. There was a new hygenist there, and he got to clean my teeth. OUCH! The guy was rough! My mouth bleed all day, and my teeth were a bit sore, but strangely enough, he got the job done.

A Challenge
After having another fight with my Mom today about my weight, we came up with a deal. If I can lose 20 pounds by the end of the year, she would for over the $75 a month to get DSL installed here. I'm gonna work hard on it, because I'd love to be able to have DSL, so that I could broadcast live on COR radio. I love a challenge!

World Series Preview
Saturday, the World Series begins, with the Houston Astros facing the Chicago White Sox. This should be a pretty good series. Can the Houston pitching, lead by Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, Roy Oswalt, and Brad Lidge slow down Paul Konerko, Scott Podsednik, Aaron Rowand, Carl Everett, A.J. Pierzynski, and Co? Can the White Sox pitching, lead by Mark Buerhle, Jon Garland and Jose Contreras slow down Lance Berkman, Craig Biggio, Jeff Bagwell, and the rest of the Astros lineup? I think this Series will go 7, with whoever has the best pitching being the one left standing!

More Home Remodeling
The past few days, we've been putting in a new floor in our kitchen. Previously, the floor was done in white linoleum, but Mom wanted to put a darker color down, because she hated having to sweep 3 or 4 times a day. We also got a new kitchen stove, since our old one was going bad. Well, that will have been every room in the house. Keep it up, we'll have a whole new one! :P

So Much For My Presidency
Yesterday, I had to resign as President of the COR . I did so because a member had called for a recall, because he didn't think the bizarre election results were in the best interest of the group. I didn't want this stuff to distract from the Group's works, do I decided to step down. I'm gonna sit back for a while and enjoy life as a private member, since I've been an elected official in one form or another since the beginning. But believe me, Next year, I will run for pres again.

Rain
For the past 2 days, it has been raining. That's a very good thing! We havn't had any rain here for the past couple of months, and it was beginning to look like the place was gonna dry up and blow away! The trees and grass are already looking a lot better. I usually don't like rain, but I'll make an exception for this.

Anticipation
Well, it's been a bizarre week in the COR The Presidential election started last Wednesday. The candidates were Myself and Damian Stryker. On Monday, Damian announced that he had to drop out of the race. That should have made me President by default, since there were no other candidates, but our Appellate Bench took it under advisement. This moring, they made their ruling. I'm President!

Another Close One!
Yesterday, my Washington Redskins escaped with a 20-17 overtime win over the Seattle Seahawks. I just about lost my dinner when Mark Brunell threw an interception in Redskins' territory with 1 minute remaining, but Seahawks' kicker Josh Brown missed a 47 yard field goal attempt with no time left in regulation. However, Brunell redeemed himself by leading the Skins' downfield on the first possesion of OT, leading to Nick Novak's 39 yard game winning FG. Washington is 3-0, with all 3 victories being by a total of 6 points. Now on to Denver for next Sunday's meeting with the Broncos!

Shyness
I might have posted about this before, but since it would take me all night to look back on my archives to look, let me tell you I'm shy. It makes me feel soooooo uncomfortable being around people, even at church. Most people think I'm anti social, but I'm not! Let me ask you this: if you had been picked on, called names, and generally humiliated every day for 12 years, wouldn't you want to keep your distance from people? Shyness has cost me a lot: Friends, love and lots of other things. I'm working on it, but I'm afraid the damage may be irreversable. I try to talk to people and be nice, but I just freeze up.

Netscape 8
A couple of days ago, I downloaded the new Netscape 8 web browser. I really like it! It has the best features of both Internet Explorer and Firefox. For Firefox fans, there's tabbed browsing, and all the greatness of Firefox. But what I really like is that you can switch Browser engines between Firefox and IE, and that makes Windows update work with it. Also, there is a button that you can push and go to your web based email (Yahoo, AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, and the like) without having to look through your bookmarks. Also, there are buttons to get your Local and National weather and news. This browser is definately worth trying out!

What I want to do
I'd really love to combine my 2 favorite hobbies, coin collecting and model building into something to make money. What I'd love to do is start my own coin/hobby shop. Problem is, I don't think there are many model builders or coin collectors here where I live, but hey , a man can dream!

Ahh The Sweet Taste Of Victory!
Last night, my Washington Redskins scored 13 points in the last 3:46 of the game to beat the hated Dallas Cowboys 14-13! This was the Skins' first win against the Cowboys in 3 years, and the first in Texas since 1995. Even though Washington is 2-0 on the season, they have scored only 2 touchdowns, but their defense has allowed only 20 points in the first 2 games. Oh well, a win is a win!

Boycott
For all you readers thinking of remodeling your kitchen, I am asking you not to buy kitchen Cabinets from American Woodmark. I'm calling for this boycott because that is the company that my Mom was working at when she got hurt. They had no guards on the machines, and several other people have been hurt there since for lack of safety equipment. This company puts profits before people, and they should be punished for that!

Model Building
Another one of my various hobbies is building model ships and planes. I've been doing it for over 20 years, but only in the past couple of years have I gotten good at it:p My current project is a model of the WWII aircraft carrier USS Ennterprise. I'll post of pic of it when I get done!

This is Totally Wrong!
It just boils me hearing about how the owners of that nursing home in Louisiana let 40 or their residents just drown when the hurricane hit! The scumbags waved of help from someone who said they could evacuate everyone from the home. Can you imagine how those people felt as the water kept getting higher and higher? If it was me, I'd hang those owners from the tallest tree!

And The People Of Oklahoma Voted For This Dummy?
A question asked by Senator Tom Cobourne (R-Oklahoma) to John Roberts during today's Supreme Court Conformation:
"Judge Roberts, would you agree that the opposite of Death is Life?"
Tom, you are a former Dr.! Didn't you learn the answer to that in Med School?

4 Years
I can't believe that it's been 4 years since that day that turned the whole country upside down. I can remember what I was doing that beautiful morning of Sept. 11, 2001. I Slept in a bit late that day, then got up to help my Mom clean house. We always watch the news on CNN in the moring, so when I turned it on, about 10 mins or so after the first plane hit the WTC, I was totally in shock! At first, I thought maybe that it had been an accident, but when the 2nd plane hit, I knew that something was wrong. The attacks have affected just about every aspect of life in the US now. We're involved in a "war on terrorism" that will probably never end, Bush has got us into a war in Iraq that was started due to false information and deception on the Bush administation, and the Government is passing laws that are restricting our basic rights (The Patriot Act). The thing that really kills me is that Republicans are accusing anyone who is against the war in Iraq to be for the Terrorists. Anyone here who knows who Max Cleland is? He was a Demacratic Senator from Georgia who was defeated for reelection in 2002, because his opponent accused him of being unpatriotic because he was against the war. How the fuck can you call a man who lost both his legs and an arm after being hit by a grenade while serving in Vietnam, another dubious war. I have no respect for anyone who uses the deaths of 3,000 people for political gain, regardless of party. We Americans are tough and determined and we will preservere!

A Reassesment
After watching the horror that the hurricane victims are going through, I have decided not to complain about everything bad that happens to me anymore. What I go through every day is nothing compared to what the people down in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama are going through!

So Long Sid!
The Orioles finally did something right: today, they released Sidney Ponson. After winning 17 games 2 years ago, he has slowly slid downhill. He's had weight problems (look's who's calling the kettle black!) , been arrested 3 times over the past year for drunk driving, got arrested for punching a judge out in his native Aruba, and generally had a bad attitude. If I was him, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on anyone to sign me. Dude, get your head on straight, you have lots of potential!
Another Year Older!
Today's my birthday! I turned 34. Man, It seems like only yesterday, I was only a kid in school! Where have all the years gone? Oh well, time flies when you're having fun!!!

A Day Of Tragedy
This has been one of the worst days in the history of Man. First off, we're just starting to get a good look at all the hurricane damage, and it doesn't look good. We've got millions of people with out homes, or any other possessions, people stranded in the flood waters, and the Mayor of New Orleans says he thinks that over 1,000 people could be dead. and they will probably pleanty of more casualties before all is said and done. Then in Iraq, some idiot started a rumor during a ceremony that a suicide bomber was on his way, and that caused a stampede that has killed close to 1,000 people there. Man oh man! It's taking every ounce of strength I have to keep from crying.

So Much For A Winning Season
Well, the Orioles' season has become a total disaster. Baltimore is now 7 games under .500 and sinking fast! I can't believe that just a couple of months ago, they were 13 games over .500 and in first place in the AL East. That's about when Erik Bedard, their best pitcher, hurt his knee and is just getting back off the DL. Also, Sammy Sosa and Javy Lopez have spent time injured, Sidney Ponson had his annual breakdown/legal problems, and the rest of the pitching staff tanked out too. And the hitters went south as well. After firing Lee Mazzilli (I never really liked that guy since he's a former Yankee) and replacing him with Cumberland MD's own Sam Perlozzo as manger Things started out good, including a sweep of Oakland a couple of weeks ago, but after the A's replied with a 4 game sweep of their own, I'm ready for next year!

A Funny From Last Evening
Our evening last night got off to a crazy start. After hurrying up to get ready to go to Church for Bible Study, my Mom and I went down to the church, but no one was there. After wating a while, Mom went inside, found a program from Sunday, and we figured out what was going on! Since we didn't go to church on Sunday, we didn't know that the church was having a block party, where the clothes and school supplies that we've been gathering were going to be given out to people who needed them. Soooo, we drove to where the block party was going on, and helped out. There were people from a church from either South Carolina, Florida, or Georgia helping out, so there were a few people there that I didn't know. After things were starting to wrap up, I was strolling around a bit, when one of the ladies from this other church came up to me and said " Can I get you some school suppies?" I started laughing my ass off and said " Thanks, but I havn't needed school supplies in 17 years." Oh well, someone thinking that you're that long is a compliment....

Insert Foot In Mouth
Well, Pat Roberston has started running his big mouth again! Today on his show he called for the US to assasinate the president of Venezuela. This from the man who says gays and feminists caused 9-11. the sad thing is that the guy probably will be murdered, because whatever the religious nuts tell Bush to do gets done!

My Weekend
My weekend has had mixed results. It started out pretty bad because on Friday night, Mom and Dad got into one of their stupid fights, and I got into the middle of if and got cussed out a bit. Well,
Saturday was a bit better, though I spent all day trying to get my back loosend up. Mission accomplished on that, though the back's still a bit sore. Today (Sunday) was pretty good. We didn't get to go to church today, because we slept in since we had a thunderstorm last night, and thunder freaks the dogs out.

So Much For The Best Laid Plans
Well, my short career as a DJ is over. I think I got a bit over my head with the COR radio project. Since I only have dialup, I would have had to file transfer all the songs and playlists I wanted to play to one of our DJs with broadband, and that would have taken longer to do then the shows themselves. Maybe If I ever get DSL...

You're Out!
Today, one of my favorite baseball players, Raphael Palmeiro of the Orioles was given a 10 day suspension for violating MLB's drug policy. He tested positive for a banned substance. I am totally shocked! He's been one of the most straight laced players I've seen in the 16 years that I've been a Baseball fan. I suro hope that it was an honest mistake, that he accidentially took something he shouldn't. The Orioles really don't need any more bad news, since they've been on a major slide the past month.

A reason why People should need a license to become a parent
The past 2 weeks, I have seen on the news 2 cases that make me think that people should have to get a license in order to have kids:
Case No.1: A lady ties up her 6 year old son, and drowns him in the bathtub.
Case No.2: As punishment for not being good, a mother throws her 4 year old son out of the car,
and when he tries to run after her, she runs him down.
I tell ya, what is wrong with people these days?

I think I have figured out my Problem!
I think I have figured out why I have all the trooubles I do. I don't think I ever had a chance to grow up. For the first 10 years of my life, I was in the hospital more times then I wasn't, and when I got older, my trouble with people picking on me was another thing. I think my not being around lots of people has made me very socially inept. How is one susposed to handle life if he hasn't had a chance to grow up?

Weekends as a Kid
My Saturdays as a kid were pretty fun. When I was a little kid, I used to spend them with my Aunt. I remember getting up at 7 in the morning, hitting the TV to watch Schoolhouse Rock (talk about a blast from the past!) then I'd eat breakfast, then We'd go shopping or something, then she'd take me home to my parents.

A Chance Meeting
A few months after I first started going online, I was checking out one of the Yahoo chat rooms when I got a pm. It said, are you from West Virginia? I said Yeah. Then this person said, I think I'm related to you. So by that, I was introduced to Laura Stapleton. Yes she really is related to me, on both sides of my family! It's kinda hard to understand, but Geneology is her hobby, and she mailed me all the documentation to prove her claim. She's one of the nicest people in the world, and we've been friends since! I am sooo glad that I'm not very creative, since she saw that my yahoo screen name is my name:P

I have lots of classic rock, and a little bit of Christian. I hope you'll be listening in! I'll have my info as it becomes availible.

I Was A BAAADDDDDDDD Boy!
Beleive it or not, I actually did physical harm to someone in a fit of anger. One day in 8th grade, while I was in lunch line, this stupid moron thought I was talking about his sister, and came up to me and tried to do this ninja shit on me, karate kicking me and all that. Being a drama student, I dropped to the floor, faked being knocked out, and when he turned his back to me, I jumped up, grabbed a chair, and knocked him over the head with it! since I had witnesses, I proved self defence, got off scott free, whike the dumbass got a weeks suspension!

Junk
You never know how much junk you own until you have to move it or throw it all the way! Today, we were moving some stuff out of our back room, and I came across stuff I hadn't seen in years. Books, old toys, and all sorts of other things. It's a wonder I have any room to put the stuff I really need!:P

My Favorite Bible Story
My favorite Bible story, which may sound strange if you've kept up with all my rants, is the book of Job. I am totally amazed at how Job kept he faith in God even after he lost everything. Maybe that;s something I should focus on! Even though things may be falling apart around you, God is always there for you, you just have to beleive that what ever is going on is for your own good. It might be to teach you a lesson or to show you what's really important, but be assured, God does not give you any thing you can't handle!

It's sad that we as Americans are slowly losing our freedom of speech in the name of safety. We can no longer criticize Bush and the government without being called unpatriotic. Are we getting so paranoid, that we are forgetting the rights on which this country was founded?

An Addendum To The Previous Post
Don't get me wrong, but I am thankful that my Mom is alive, but it just kills me to see her struggle. There are a lotta things you need both hands for.
A True Rant
Here's a note to the people who wonder why I'm upset at my Mom being hurt:
I have accepted the fact that she was hurt, but it's gonna take me a lifetime to accept WHY it happened! If you had a family member who was maimed for life by someone else's greed, wouldn't you be just a bit pissed? Now that we have that clarified, carry on.

I May Have To Change My Favorite Snack Food
According to a group of National Guardsmen who guarded Saddam Hussein, the former Iraqi dictator enjoyed munching on Doritos. Since they are my favorite snack food, I may have to find something else, it's quite disturbing....:P

Answer To The Mystery
The collector determined the Bill was genuine by noting the series date on it. The motto In God We Trust was not printed on the reverse of notes until the series of 1963, and this note was from an older series.

A Numistmatical Mystery
I will give the answer to this mystery tomorrow.
A man is in a hardware store, buys some stuff and pays for it with a $100 bill. The person at the register looks the bill over and says "I'm calling the police, this is counterfeit!" The next person in line says, "Sir, I collect coins and currency, can I look this bill over?" The cashier says "Sure, but I'm telling you, it's fake. See, there's no "In God We Trust on the reverse. " " So, our interpid collector checks the bill out and in seconds says " Let this man through, this bill's genuine." So my question is: What did the collector know that the cashier didn't?

16 Years Of Freedom!
Today marks the 16th aniversary of the day I graduated from Hell....ummm...High School! You can't imagine how glad I was, getting away from those evil people who picked on my because of my weight. It is a wonder I made it through. You know things are bad when you're wanting to die at age 10. As I've said a million times before, I had absolutley NO friends in school, and even the teachers picked on me as well. No wonder I have nightmares about it every night!

More House Repair
Today, we started to put down another new floor. This time in the Living Room and the Dining Room. The carpet is 12 years old, so it's seen better days, and the floor under it is that pressed board, which has a tendancy to turn into saw dust if you spit on it:P Right now, we have stuff layed out all over the house, and it is nothing but one big mess!

Idiots!
This morning when we left for church, we saw that someone had smashed up our mailbox and my Sister's. I tell ya, I don't know what is wrong with people anymore. I know there's not much do in this little town for entertainment but sheeeesh! I hope that if the cops catch them, they sapend some time in jail!

So What's Your Opinion?
I was watching the news today and saw a report about a 12 year old girl in Texas who was taken from her parents by Child Protective Services because she had been suffering from Cancer, completed chemotherapy, and her doctors wanted her to start radition therapy. The girl and her parents said no, so the Dr's called the Police, who came and took the girl. Late this afternoon, a judge ordered her to undergo radiation therapy. So my question is: Do you think this action was justified, or are we going into Terri Schaivo part 2? I don't know what to make of this!

Weight Wars
Well for those of you who are new readers, lemme tell ya bout my biggest problem. I'm fat. That's it, I'm fat1 I'm 4"10 and 250 ish, so you can see I need to lose a few. Weight has been my enemy since I was 9 or 10, and I seem to be losing the battle. I don't each much, I run a treadmill, and I walk a lot, but nothing seems to be happening. I'll try anything but one thing I WILL NOT DO is undergo that stomach surgery that lots of people go through these days. I am a firm believer in trying to solve your own problems, and I am absolutley terrified about having surgery. Oh well, at least I'm trying.

Reply To An Idiot Who Made A Comment On My Post About The Boy Scouts
Morris, please do NOT EVER post anything on this blog. I was not molested by my scout leader, ty.
Summer's Here!
Today was a nice HOT day! I shouldn't be complaining though, since it hasn't been warm for a while. Anyway, I just took it easy and hung out at home and did some stuff around the house.

Another Story From My Time In The Boy Scouts
It's Summer time, must be time for summer camp! When I was in the Scouts, we went to summer camp each year. The second time I went was a real wild time! During the middle of the week, we had one hell of a storm. It was rain, wind, and lightning balls-let me repeat that, lightning balls, not bolts! I tell ya what, it scared the shit outta me! It's not funny trying to see a fat person run for his life, but I think that night, I broke all my personal speed records!

A Note To God
Thank you Lord, for being there for me in both good and bad times. Even though sometimes I don't act like it, I do love you and want to do what ever I can to serve you. Please give me the patience to wait for the woman you've made for me and please give me the strength to get over what happened to my Mom and what I went through in school.
