So Much For The Best Laid Plans
Well, my short career as a DJ is over. I think I got a bit over my head with the COR radio project. Since I only have dialup, I would have had to file transfer all the songs and playlists I wanted to play to one of our DJs with broadband, and that would have taken longer to do then the shows themselves. Maybe If I ever get DSL...

You're Out!
Today, one of my favorite baseball players, Raphael Palmeiro of the Orioles was given a 10 day suspension for violating MLB's drug policy. He tested positive for a banned substance. I am totally shocked! He's been one of the most straight laced players I've seen in the 16 years that I've been a Baseball fan. I suro hope that it was an honest mistake, that he accidentially took something he shouldn't. The Orioles really don't need any more bad news, since they've been on a major slide the past month.

A reason why People should need a license to become a parent
The past 2 weeks, I have seen on the news 2 cases that make me think that people should have to get a license in order to have kids:
Case No.1: A lady ties up her 6 year old son, and drowns him in the bathtub.
Case No.2: As punishment for not being good, a mother throws her 4 year old son out of the car,
and when he tries to run after her, she runs him down.
I tell ya, what is wrong with people these days?

Really Neat!
While reading an article in PC World magazine, I saw a pic of a really neat computer add on! It's a tape cassette player that fits into an empty CD drive bay. Kinda neat huh?

I think I have figured out my Problem!
I think I have figured out why I have all the trooubles I do. I don't think I ever had a chance to grow up. For the first 10 years of my life, I was in the hospital more times then I wasn't, and when I got older, my trouble with people picking on me was another thing. I think my not being around lots of people has made me very socially inept. How is one susposed to handle life if he hasn't had a chance to grow up?

Peace At Last
I think I'm finally coming to terms with my Mom's Injury. 3 weeks ago was the 5th anniversary of her accident, and I didn't let it get to me. While I will never fully understand why God let it happen, If Mom can be Ok with it, so can I!

Weekends as a Kid
My Saturdays as a kid were pretty fun. When I was a little kid, I used to spend them with my Aunt. I remember getting up at 7 in the morning, hitting the TV to watch Schoolhouse Rock (talk about a blast from the past!) then I'd eat breakfast, then We'd go shopping or something, then she'd take me home to my parents.

Facial Hair
Well, I've decided to grow a moustache (or attempt to) because I am getting quite tired of people in stores saying "May I Help You Maam?" I think I posted a while back about that, but I'm gonna try it and see how it works!

A Chance Meeting
A few months after I first started going online, I was checking out one of the Yahoo chat rooms when I got a pm. It said, are you from West Virginia? I said Yeah. Then this person said, I think I'm related to you. So by that, I was introduced to Laura Stapleton. Yes she really is related to me, on both sides of my family! It's kinda hard to understand, but Geneology is her hobby, and she mailed me all the documentation to prove her claim. She's one of the nicest people in the world, and we've been friends since! I am sooo glad that I'm not very creative, since she saw that my yahoo screen name is my name:P

Sitting On The Porch
Last night, the Parents and I sat out on the porch, talking about old times, and people we havn't seen in years. It's amazing how fast time flies! I can't beleive that in 2 months, I will be 34! Seems like only yesterday I was a little kid!

You ever have a good night's sleep, then wake up totally exhausted? I get that way a lot of times. I wake up feeling like I've run a million laps around a track! Must be all those crazy dreams I have towards the end of my sleep!

I'm Taking Requests!
The COR Radio project is almost ready! We are shooting for a start in a couple weeks. I will be one of the DJ's , and I'm shooting for a 10PM-Midnight or 11-1AM time slot. My show will be taped, since I only have dialup, and that's not very good for consisten transmission. Sooo, if you have any requests, email me at billydelawder@gmail.com. I have lots of classic rock, and a little bit of Christian. I hope you'll be listening in! I'll have my info as it becomes availible.

I Was A BAAADDDDDDDD Boy!
Beleive it or not, I actually did physical harm to someone in a fit of anger. One day in 8th grade, while I was in lunch line, this stupid moron thought I was talking about his sister, and came up to me and tried to do this ninja shit on me, karate kicking me and all that. Being a drama student, I dropped to the floor, faked being knocked out, and when he turned his back to me, I jumped up, grabbed a chair, and knocked him over the head with it! since I had witnesses, I proved self defence, got off scott free, whike the dumbass got a weeks suspension!

Junk
You never know how much junk you own until you have to move it or throw it all the way! Today, we were moving some stuff out of our back room, and I came across stuff I hadn't seen in years. Books, old toys, and all sorts of other things. It's a wonder I have any room to put the stuff I really need!:P

My Favorite Bible Story
My favorite Bible story, which may sound strange if you've kept up with all my rants, is the book of Job. I am totally amazed at how Job kept he faith in God even after he lost everything. Maybe that;s something I should focus on! Even though things may be falling apart around you, God is always there for you, you just have to beleive that what ever is going on is for your own good. It might be to teach you a lesson or to show you what's really important, but be assured, God does not give you any thing you can't handle!

What Has Happened To My Country?
It's sad that we as Americans are slowly losing our freedom of speech in the name of safety. We can no longer criticize Bush and the government without being called unpatriotic. Are we getting so paranoid, that we are forgetting the rights on which this country was founded?

An Addendum To The Previous Post
Don't get me wrong, but I am thankful that my Mom is alive, but it just kills me to see her struggle. There are a lotta things you need both hands for.
A True Rant
Here's a note to the people who wonder why I'm upset at my Mom being hurt:
I have accepted the fact that she was hurt, but it's gonna take me a lifetime to accept WHY it happened! If you had a family member who was maimed for life by someone else's greed, wouldn't you be just a bit pissed? Now that we have that clarified, carry on.

I May Have To Change My Favorite Snack Food
According to a group of National Guardsmen who guarded Saddam Hussein, the former Iraqi dictator enjoyed munching on Doritos. Since they are my favorite snack food, I may have to find something else, it's quite disturbing....:P

Answer To The Mystery
The collector determined the Bill was genuine by noting the series date on it. The motto In God We Trust was not printed on the reverse of notes until the series of 1963, and this note was from an older series.

A Numistmatical Mystery
I will give the answer to this mystery tomorrow.
A man is in a hardware store, buys some stuff and pays for it with a $100 bill. The person at the register looks the bill over and says "I'm calling the police, this is counterfeit!" The next person in line says, "Sir, I collect coins and currency, can I look this bill over?" The cashier says "Sure, but I'm telling you, it's fake. See, there's no "In God We Trust on the reverse. " " So, our interpid collector checks the bill out and in seconds says " Let this man through, this bill's genuine." So my question is: What did the collector know that the cashier didn't?

16 Years Of Freedom!
Today marks the 16th aniversary of the day I graduated from Hell....ummm...High School! You can't imagine how glad I was, getting away from those evil people who picked on my because of my weight. It is a wonder I made it through. You know things are bad when you're wanting to die at age 10. As I've said a million times before, I had absolutley NO friends in school, and even the teachers picked on me as well. No wonder I have nightmares about it every night!

More House Repair
Today, we started to put down another new floor. This time in the Living Room and the Dining Room. The carpet is 12 years old, so it's seen better days, and the floor under it is that pressed board, which has a tendancy to turn into saw dust if you spit on it:P Right now, we have stuff layed out all over the house, and it is nothing but one big mess!

Idiots!
This morning when we left for church, we saw that someone had smashed up our mailbox and my Sister's. I tell ya, I don't know what is wrong with people anymore. I know there's not much do in this little town for entertainment but sheeeesh! I hope that if the cops catch them, they sapend some time in jail!

So What's Your Opinion?
I was watching the news today and saw a report about a 12 year old girl in Texas who was taken from her parents by Child Protective Services because she had been suffering from Cancer, completed chemotherapy, and her doctors wanted her to start radition therapy. The girl and her parents said no, so the Dr's called the Police, who came and took the girl. Late this afternoon, a judge ordered her to undergo radiation therapy. So my question is: Do you think this action was justified, or are we going into Terri Schaivo part 2? I don't know what to make of this!

Weight Wars
Well for those of you who are new readers, lemme tell ya bout my biggest problem. I'm fat. That's it, I'm fat1 I'm 4"10 and 250 ish, so you can see I need to lose a few. Weight has been my enemy since I was 9 or 10, and I seem to be losing the battle. I don't each much, I run a treadmill, and I walk a lot, but nothing seems to be happening. I'll try anything but one thing I WILL NOT DO is undergo that stomach surgery that lots of people go through these days. I am a firm believer in trying to solve your own problems, and I am absolutley terrified about having surgery. Oh well, at least I'm trying.

Summer's Here!
Today was a nice HOT day! I shouldn't be complaining though, since it hasn't been warm for a while. Anyway, I just took it easy and hung out at home and did some stuff around the house.

Another Story From My Time In The Boy Scouts
It's Summer time, must be time for summer camp! When I was in the Scouts, we went to summer camp each year. The second time I went was a real wild time! During the middle of the week, we had one hell of a storm. It was rain, wind, and lightning balls-let me repeat that, lightning balls, not bolts! I tell ya what, it scared the shit outta me! It's not funny trying to see a fat person run for his life, but I think that night, I broke all my personal speed records!

A Note To God
Thank you Lord, for being there for me in both good and bad times. Even though sometimes I don't act like it, I do love you and want to do what ever I can to serve you. Please give me the patience to wait for the woman you've made for me and please give me the strength to get over what happened to my Mom and what I went through in school.

The Hole In The Wall
In our spare room, there is a hole in the wall. I put it there. Back in 1994, My parents got into one of their stupidest fights. This was the most violent one they've ever had. There were dishes thrown and broke, plants upturned, and the whole 9 yards. I was so upset and mad about it, I went into the back room, and ran my fist through the wall. The hole is still there to this day, and I have made myself a promise that if I ever get married or have a relationship, I will never get violent towards a woman. Violence is not in my nature.

Oh No Not Again!
I tell ya, this stupid tooth I've been telling you about is gonna be the death of me! Today, while biting into food, my temporary bridge disintigrated into a million little pieces. Man I was mad as hell! On Tuesday, I'm gonna call the dentist and see if my permanent bridge is in. I had the work done on the 9th, and the dentist said that I had to wait 4-6 weeks for it to heal where the tooth was pulled before the permanent one could be put in. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Bangs his head on the desk in frustration

Finally Finished!
We finally finished fixing up my room. It looks real nice! It now has a pretty blue carpet, and the floor feels a bit more sturdy. There's a lot more space, since I replaced my huge computer desk with an armoire, which is a fancy cabinet type thing. It's really nice, and leaves me with a lot more room. And my new bed is really great too, it's got a bookshelf on it, which let me get rid of one of my book cases. Now we're working on the hall.

Another Memory Of School
The worst Teacher I ever had was Mrs. Lesser, my 8th grade English teacher. She constantly humiliated me in front of the whole class because my handwriting was (and still is) horrible. I tried to do my best, but it never seemed to be good enough for her. I guess she hated me, because she never did that to any of the other kids in the class. Man, I was soooooo glad when I was through with her!

Star Wars Episode 3
Last night I went to the movies and saw Star Wars Episode 3. I loved it! The special effects were top notch, and the story line was well written. For those who havn't seen it yet, the climactic lightsaber duel between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi will probaly go down in history as the best action scene in movie history. It was sad seeing how the Emperor messed with Anakin's mind, leading to his transformation into Darth Vader. If you havn't seen this movie- SEE IT!!

Some Random "Why is its"
Why is it that:
When ever you go on a trip, the Sun is in your eyes both coming and going?
Some electronic devices and lunch meat come in plastic containers that you need to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to open?
Your car or other expensive items you own always go bad the day after the warrenty expires?
You can't sleep the night before you have to get up really early?
And there are probably others!

Quite True
I was reading a post on my Christian Group this morning and I read a statement that applied very much to me. Here it is:
If you dwell on depressing thoughts....you will live a depressing life. If you
gravitate toward negative thoughts you'll gravitate toward negative people &
negative lifestyles.
Our thoughts also affect our emotions. We will feel exactly the way we think.
Life is What You make it
I've come to the conclusion that I am the ONLY person who can pull me out of the funk I'm in. Life is what you make it. You have 2 choices: You can either say "Things in my life are tough, so what? I'm gonna live life to the fullest, and enjoy the things that God has given me", or you can say "boo hoo, my life is a mess, no one likes me, what will I do?" I have decided to say the former!

On the Air!
The COR is considering starting up an internet radio station in order to get the word out about the group. We're going to be tossing around some ideas about what kind of programning to have, like music, talk, or any of the other stuff you find on a broadcast radio station. I've always wanted to be a DJ, so I'm volunteering! I'll let you all know what happens, and maybe one night, you can tune in and hear me spinning some tunes or shooting the breeze with a guest!

The Summer Of 85
This Summer will mark the 20th anniversary of what was probably the best Summer of my life. First off it was good because I finished serving my time in that hellhole known as Luther Jackson Intermediate School, and got some of those idiots off my back. Next, it was the first Summer I spent a lot of time away from home. I spent about a month up here in West VA. with my sister and her family, went to Boy Scout Camp, and when I was home, My Dad and I usually spent Saturdays out riding the roads. Ahh those nights of staying up all night just to hear a certain song on the radio and tape it, the trips to the library to hang out, the trek every Friday night to the record store, and a lot of other things. The only 2 blemishes on that Summer were that I had to go into the hospital for surgery in July, and when it ended, I started High School. those were the days!

Controlling my temper
Something that really pisses me off is when someone comes up to me while I'm out in public and someone calls me "maam" You see, because I'm fat, I have fat where a guy shouldn't
have it. IE: I have boobs. You don't know how many times people have done that to me and I've wanted to throttle them. For God's sake people, look closely at my face, listen to my voice, I'm A GUY DAMMIT!!! I swear, next time someone does that to me, I'm gonna pull my pants down and give them positive proof of my gender!

If I Knew When I Was A Kid What I Knew Now....
I'd be rich! When I was a kid, I had all the Star Wars, Star Trek, GI Joe, and Shogun Warriors toys. These days, examples of these toys in good shape are worth a lot more that what you originally payed for them. Back then, toys were made to be played with, and I played them to death. Dang! :P
Moving Day
My Dad looked at the floor in my room last night and yes, there is a hole in it. Sooo, as soon as I'm done with this, I'm going to start moving stuff out of this room, and move into the spare room while repairs are being made. I've already started getting some things together , and wow, I didn't realize how much stuff I have!

Religion And Politics
I am totally outraged with the news that a preacher made members of his church who didn't support Bush leave. This goes to show you how close our country is getting to becoming a theocracy. I am a Christian, Democrat, and a Bush hater, and if my preacher ever made me leave because of my political views, I would never step into a church again. The religious right is getting to much power in our society. It's ok for a preacher to have politcal views, but when you start forcing them on your congregation, that's something totally innaprorpriate!

This Is So Not Fair!
I was reading on the CNN website about a high schooler who was suspended for 3 days because he wouldn't hang up his cell phone because he was taking a call from his Mom, who is serving in Iraq. Give the kid a break! If I was not going to be able to see my Mom for 1 year, I'd be pissed if someone was trying to keep me from talking to her!

Our Dogs
My Family is the owner of 5 Dogs, Tzih-zhus or how ever ya spell it. Their names are Blossom, Flowers, Little Bit, Charlie, and Misty. Each of them have different personalities. Blossom is the oldest and the mother of 3 of them, and she keeps them in line. Flowers and Little Bit are like little kids, they run around, play, and get into all sorts of trouble, and Charlie and Misty are shy and timid. They are hard to handle, but we love em!

The Floor
It looks like we might have to tear out the floor in my bedroom. There is a soft spot in the middle of the floor that gets bigger every day, so it must be getting wet and rotting under there. I dread having to move everything from my room to the spare room, since I have so much stuff:P Hopefully if work needs to be done, it'll be done fast, since my niece is suppposed to spend some time here this Summer. I'll let ya know if it's as bad as I think it is!

About The Michael Jackson Case
I dunno about any of you, but I think Michael Jackson has some serious problems! A 45 year old guy going to bed with kids that aren't his and saying there's nothing wrong with it shows you he has a screw loose somewhere! If I were a betting man, I'd say he wouldnt last a week in prison if he's convicted. There are 2 things even the most vile criminals won't stand for: child molesters and wife beaters.

Stop That Noise!
When I was 9 or 10, I had a problem with my ears. There was fluid backed up in them, and it caused this god awful ringing in my ears. Also at this time, we lived in an apartment. In the ceiling of my room were a bunch of pipes and at night, you could hear them expand and contract, and that also made a horrible banging and clanging noise. Between that and my ears ringing, I thought I was gonna go nuts! For about a year or so, I got very little sleep. Finally the Dr's figured out that I needed to have tubes put in my ears to drain the fluid, and later we finally moved out of that dumb apartment and moved to a more quieter house.
Late Night
Well, it's Saturday night, and I'm hanging here online at this hour because I can't sleep. I'm getting ready to do what I usually do when I can't sleep. When I have trouble sleeping, I tune my radio to the Public Radio staion here and listen to Jazz music. The soothing tones of Jazz help me to relax, and helps me drift off. It's starting to work, so nite everyone! :)

He who Laughs Last
While listening to a computer show on the radio today, I heard one of the funniest computer stories I've ever heard! In a chatroom in Germany, this kid was trying to convince everyone in the room that he was the biggest, baddest hacker in the land. Well, no one listened to him, so he challenged the chatroom moderator to put up his IP address, and he would show the mod how bad he was by hacking into and wrecking every drive on his comp. Well, the moderator posted an IP address, and this "hacker went to work" He was saying "there goes your E drive, there goes your D drive, and here goes your C drive" Then the person left the room. Wanna know why he left? The Mod had posted the hacker's own IP address, so this idiot fried his own computer! What an amateur!
Breakaway
I was listening to Kelly Clarkson's song Breakaway yesterday, and it really affected me. I'm thinking maybe I should make a breakaway from the past, and increase my efforts to get over everything I've been through. The past can't hurt you except in your mind. I have a lotta years left hopefully and it is so not productive dwelling on the past. Hopefully, I've made this revalation in time to prevent any more damage. So what the first 18 years of my life were hell, so what I'm awkward with women, so what I have no patience? Time and God will get me through this, and I will have the life I've always wanted!

Frustration
Well Gang, I'm in one of those moods again! WTF do I have to do to get a woman to notice me the way I wanna be noticed? I used to think all ya had to do was act nice and treat em good, but with women these days, I must be wrong. All the women I'm interested in just want a friend. Friends I have enough of!

Little Big Man
Quick, who's leading the American League in homers? A-Rod? Manny Ramirez? David Ortiz? Would you believe BRIAN ROBERTS?? After hitting 4 homers all of last season, the Orioles 5'9 2nd baseman/leadoff hitter has 7 in the first month of this season! Now I don't think he'll keep up this pace all year, but it brings back memories of 1996 when another Orioles leadoff hitter, Brady Anderson went from hitting 16 homers the year before to 50. More power for us little guys!

Greed Is A Powerful Weapon
Looking through all my spam email last week, I came across a version of the infamous Nigerian Email. You know, the one that is supposed to come from someone trying to get money out of Nigeria, and asks you to give your bank accout info, and they'll give you part of the money. On the one hand, I feel sorry for the people who have actually fallen for that scam, but on the other, I say they got what they had coming to them! Anyonie who would fall for BS like that deserves to lose a lot of money. Greed is a powerful weapon that scam artists have become adept in using. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
Good News!
After spending all day yesterday in the hospital, my Mom found out why she's been sick for the past month. An infection was making her ulcer worse. The doctors gave her the proper medications, and she's gonna be Ok!

She went to the Dr. Wednesday, and the doc thinks she has either a Gall Bladder problem, an infected bowel, or her ulcer is going nuts. She went Friday to have a CT scan, and she'll get the results hopefull on Monday. I'll let ya all know how it goes!

How Do You Compete With A Legend?
I am not a Catholic, but it will be interesting to see how Benedict XVI, the new Pope, goes about his business. John Paul II was probably THE most recognizable figure in the world over the past few years, so the new Pope may be at a slight disadvantage. But what I've read and heard about him, he seems to be more then adeuquate for the Papacy. Time will tell...

A little bit late but....
Well, that damn Crown fell off my tooth again! Last week, I went to my dentist, and he said that hes going to make a bridge. So, I have an appointment on May 9 to have the work done. I really do hate having to have 2 good teeth ground down in order for the bridge to fit, but it sure the heck beats having the crown fall out every 3 months and having to have it put back on!
Another one of my hobbies
I don't know why, but I'm interested in ships. Dunno why, but I guess it's because my Dad was in the Navy, or because I'm a History fan. I have tons of books about ships, and I build models of them.

Evening
I just love the evenings this time of the year! It's nice to sit out on the porch, bring a coke and a book, and watch the Sun go down, listen to the birds and other animals, breathe in the nice fresh air, and just take in the scenery.

What A Clutch Pitching Performance!
As a Big Baseball fan, I've seen pleanty of well pitched games, but last night, I think I saw the best clutch pitching performance I've ever seen! In the Orioles-Devil Rays game last night, Orioles closer B.J. Ryan came in in the bottom of the 9th with the O's ahead by 1 run, gave up a leadoff triple, followed by a walk. My stomach was getting quite tight, knowing that the O's have blown several late inning leads against Tampa over the years, but have no fear! Ryan promptly struck out the next 2 batters, then reitred the last on a fly ball for the final out. No harm, no foul. What a performance!

Words Can Hurt
People always ask me why I'm so uptight about getting picked on in school. I'll tell ya why! It really does hurt hearing people make wisecracks about your weight and calling you all sorts of names every day for 12 years. Sometimes, hurtful words can stick in a person's mind for their entire lives, and the effect can be devastating. As you can tell from some of my posts, it has hurt me emensly. The way I was treated has made me severly shy, I'm vitrually afraid of being around people, and it has just messed my mind up generally. It would be so nice if people of all ages could think about what they say before they say it!

Feeling Better
I'm feeling better today, thank God! My stomach has finally stopped doing flip flops, and my head doesn't feel like it's ready to explode anymore!

I Feel Like Crap!

What A Way To Meet The New Neighbors!
When I was a little kid, I had a friend who lived right behing our house. To get to his place, I had to walk up through our garden, and climb over a fence. I did that pleanty of times without having any probs, but one day, I got stuck on the fence! I started yelling at the top of my lungs, but since our house was a good bit away from the fence, my Parents didn't hear me. Anyway, this guy comes running up, and gets me down. Turns out, he and his family had just moved into another house next door, and they hadn't had time to introduce thenselves to the neighborhood. So, this family and mine became good friends, and we kept in touch until they moved away a few years before we moved to West Virginia. Funny way to meet the neighbors, huh?

I am Itching to Death!
Well, Spring's here, and that must mean I'm wearing shorts and a short sleeved shirt, and also that I'm itching to death. I'm itching so bad because I'm allergic to the sun. It makes me break out with a rash that looks like Poison Ivy. The strange thing with this it that you can't stop it from coming, but you can easily make it clear up. this has affected me all my life, and it seems to get worse each year.

Backstabbing
Sometimes it takes somthing happening to show who your friends really are. My now ex-friend Jewels, who I have written about a few times in here, has accused me of spying on another yahoo group for the COR and leaking information and stealing ideas. I fervently deny all these charges. You can make wisecracks about my weight and looks, but DO NOT inpune my honor or integrity, or you will be dealt with swiftly and harshly!

A Royal Ass Kicking!
We recently had elections for president of the COR Dana, my opponent, defeated my by a vote of 33-12. Being a gracious loser, I harbor no ill will to her, and will support her to the fullest, because she's already a good friend to me!

A Total Idiot!
There is a guy that goes around the Christian chatrooms I frequent that goes by the screen name of Lukespacewalker. This guy is some piece of work. He is totally insane. Luke has said that people get sick because they don't tithe. The piece of crap told a lady that used to come into the room that was dying of cancer that if she tithed, she would get better. She ended up dying. Luke also said that my Mom got hurt for the same reason, and that my medical problems happened because I went to the dr. But the things that really made me laugh my ass off were when he said that he played Frizbee with God, and he once told a lady that she was going to hell because her boobs were too small. Sheeesh!

Baseball is back!
I am sooo glad that tomorrow Night is Baseball's opening Night! With no Football, hockey, and Basketball isn't my kinda sport, It will be nice to have something to watch and listen to. I'm a big fan of the Baltimore Orioles, tolerant of the Red Sox, but totally despise the Yankees!
